Feed the Future East Africa Food Security through Enhanced Regional Trade Activity (Foster Trade) was a two-year Fixed Obligation Grant by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) East Africa under the Africa Institutions Innovation Mechanism (AIIM) and implemented by Agricultural Market Development Trust (AGMARK).
The project was implemented in Eastern Africa, across the borders of Namanga (Kenya-Tanzania), Busia and Malaba (Kenya-Uganda), Katuna/Gatuna (Uganda-Rwanda) and Isebania/Sirare (Kenya-Tanzania).

Goal
To Increase Access to and utilization of Staple foods in Eastern Africa
Objectives
1. Better integrated national and regional markets for sorghum and beans
2. Expanded regional access to improved technologies, knowledge and inputs (beans & sorghum) and yield enhancing inputs/technology across borders
3. Increased private sector investment in regional agriculture and nutrition for beans and sorghum
