KDLDP was funded by United States Agency for International development
(USAID) Implemented by Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA) in
partnership with AGMARK and Kenya Livestock Marketing Council (KLMC) in Northeast Kenya – Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Ijara and Tana River, from April 2010 – May 2013.
AGMARK played a role in the development and implementation of the program under the area “Increasing livestock productivity and competitiveness” and “Promoting strategies for mitigating the effects of climate change” by training Agrodealers, community animal health works on business management skills, product knowledge & safe use, Establishing fodder demonstration plots and conducting field days and exhibitions.

Goal
To enhance trade in livestock and livestock products to increase incomes and food security conditions for pastoralist households in the districts of Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Ijara and Tana River
